Spring Snow

That seems to be the general theme these days. We got another foot+ worth of snow overnight. At least the previous snow had all melted before this storm came through. This snow is melting fast too. It's in the 40's with bright sunshine. It won't be long before it is Spring-like again. Just in time for the next storm on Sunday night.

It was a heavy wet snow. Very typical of this time of year. The last storm we didn't lose power. This storm we weren't so lucky. There should be something that says WARNING: Power outage may cause excitability in household pets. Shelby and Babykit ran races all night. Sliding across the floor, galloping like they weigh a hundred pounds, the crunch crunch crunch of dog food being eaten, first by BabyKit then by Shelby, were the sounds of the house last night. No steady hum of the refridgerator. No gushing sound of the sump pump doing it's job in the basement. No water gurgling in the pipes. Just deafening quiet and animals at play.

From 1am until about 3:30am I laid there listening. Thinking. Wishing. Wishing that life was simpler. Hoping that someone knew I was thinking about him on his special day.

Try this, it really is quite funny:
1. go to google
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "from" box)
5. type "London" in the second box (the "to" box)
6. Hit "get directions"
7. scroll down to step #23 in the directions
