Choices and Decisions

It is never a "choice" to let someone die. Sometimes it's just a "decision" that has to made.

After months of riding a roller coaster a good friend's family is expected to make decisions based on options outlined for them by a physician. It's not an easy decision, even though it is becoming clearer and clearer every day which way things will ultimately go.

No one gets out of this life alive. Even Methuselah only lived to be 969 years old. It just really stinks when a family has to actively participate in the making of the end. No one should be expected to make or live with those kinds of decisions, but then again no one should be left to lanquish.

I'm not weighing in with an opinion either way. I'm just feeling really bad for the whole situation.
