When Sam and I drove across it we were noticing that the towers looked like they probably had elevators in them and we did wonder about what they were like from the top.
We had driven across it three times before venturing off the path to check out Ft Knox. (which was equally awesome. R- it's about 3-4 times bigger than Ft McHenry and has tons of corridors and rooms and stairwells and secret passageways. Very fun and you'll have to check it out if you ever make it to Maine)

(view from the top of the bridge)Stepping off the elevator and looking out of the glass was quite breath taking and for some has been nauseating. We quickly gained our composure and couldn't wait to climb the two final sets of stairs to the very top. The views were stupendous. Believe it or not, the fee for riding up the observation tower and full unlimited access to Fort Knox was a hefty $5. I think it was the best 5 bucks we spent all week.

That fort does look interesting! Okay, it's on my list.
It looks like fun, but not sure I could go to the top of the tower. Even looking at the picture from the top made me a little queasy. Lol.
